Is the Hauppauge HD PVR compatible with Windows 7?

Why can't I install my Hauppauge HD PVR software?

  • I just recently got a Hauppauge HD PVR. When I follow instructions to install it everything goes good until I put the installation CD in my computer. The disc will spin VERY fast and then my computer says "Please insert a disc into the disc drive." There are no scratches on the disc and it is in PERFECT condition. Everything is suppose to be brand new so I don't know what the problem is. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7. I really need this fixed as soon as possible. Help would be greatly appreciated! Also it was directly ordered from Walmart.com so it is brand new.

    It sometimes happens, have you tried the disk in another pc, if you can see it on another pc just copy the files to a flash drive or i believe you can get what you want here http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hdpvr.html
