What is a good TiVo player?

Connecting the following atcomponents: HDTV, Tivo, Comcast cable and DVD player. What connects to what?

  • Provide details on what connects to what. Thanks

  • Answer:

If your comcast box is an HD box, connect it to either an HDMI input or component input. If it's a standard definition box, connect it to a composite input (yellow, red, white). In the event you're not aware, you do need an HD box to get HD programming. If your Tivo is an HD Tivo, connect it to either an HDMI input or component input. If it's a standard definition Tivo, connect it to a composite input (yellow, red, white). If your DVD is an HD DVD, connect it to either an HDMI input or component input. If it's a standard definition DVD, it might have component connections but for sure will have composite connections so use those (yellow, red, white). If your Tivo or DVD is standard definition, they might have a S-Video connection, you can use this if your TV has one to improve picture quality.
