How do I hook up a DVD/VCR combo when I have a TV and cable box. I want to record and watch different show?

i would just buy a DVR. But all you need is a 2 way splitter , with this you can run 1 cable wire to your cable box and one to your dvd/vcr combo. Then you can watch your cable box while the vcr records . on the back or front of your tv you should see "audio/video in" if you don't you are out of luck . If you do take a rca cord and plug it into "audio video out" on your dvd player to "audio/video in" on your tv. then you are done . To watch a dvd press"video" or "input" button on your tv remote

With a cable box you can generally only watch one show at a time. Now there is one trick, if you have digital cable, which is what I assume you have, buy a 2 way splitter, hook that up to the line coming from the wall, then send one line directly to the TV and the other to the cable box. Then hook the cable box up to the TV through the Red White and Yellow cables. As far as the DVD/VCR hook it up in between the cable box and the TV with the RWY cables.
