I have an HD-DVR from Time Warner cable, how do I get the programs on the HD-DVR to a DVD?

I want to go from the DVR to my laptop where i have the DVD burner, that would be the best way. I dont want to put them on a VHS. What cables do i need?

Answer:
You will need a tuner card in your laptop, or attached to it via USB. However, you'll only be able to record in SD.
