Jailbreakme.com doesnt work?

Im using VLC media player and the series im trying to watch doesnt work?

im using VLC media player and i want to watch some episodes of gossip girl, one of the episodes doesnt work right away but when i click on it again it shows a button that says repair when i click on it the episode gets repaired and it works again, the other episode no matter what i do it doesnt work and it doesnt show a repair button, but it shows a message that says: File reading failed: VLC could not read the file, putting in mind that i cant get the episodes to work using any other program than this... please help!!!!! thanks!
Answer:

Depends on which type of file it is, though VLC usually plays most video files. But it could have been a problem with the download, unless it was a DVD, in which case, I'm not sure, you may need to re-download VLC, or get an update.
