Why is DNS Server not responding?

Dns server isn't responding when i am at home?

  • ive recently purchased a new aspire one laptop and havent got the money to actually pay for legit internet connections. im only 17 ive been saving for almost 2 years to afford the 300$ computer and im broke. my dad says since im getting older i have to learn to pay my own way. anyway back to my question i used to recieve internet from 3 unsecured wireless network connection, i have no router just the laptop. now all of a sudden when i try to connect to all i see the bars but there is a tiny yellow Exclamation point that say no internet acess. i know the internets there because i can still see the bars half full and it even says fair internet connection. when i diognosed the problem it says dns server not responding This is what gets me, when i went to the local library im able to use the internet fine with 100% no networking problems. Why is that? how can i fix it to where i can use it at home and not just at the library.

  • Answer:

You can't fix someone else's network. It's not working because it's not supposed to work. By the way, connecting to a wireless network without permission and using that network to access the Internet is a violation of Federal law, specifically 18 USC 1030, part of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
