How to get my wireless internet on Ubuntu 9.10 to work?

How can I get my Linksys wireless usb adapter to work with Ubuntu?

Ok...hurrah hurrah I've banished the nasty Windows Vista from the realm of my harddrive...My only internet options are through my cell (Alltel Mobile) or with my Linksys Wireless N USB Adapter...both of which wont work with Ubuntu as it stands right now. is there any way to get either my Alltel Mobile (HIGHLY prefered due to pirating restrictions of my campus wireless net acess) or the campus network via my Linksys Wireles N USB adapter to work with Ubuntu?
