How can i disable the firewall on my Netgear CG814WG ver .2 to connect on Wii?
-
I'm trying to connect my Wii to the internet but keep getting an error message when it is testing the connection. I have a Netgear CG814WG ver .2 provided by RoadRunner... How can i disable the firewall on my Netgear and what do i do next to get my Wii to connect? Has anyone been able to connect with this same router?

Answer:
You probably should not DISABLE your netgear firewall, but ADD the appropriate channels to it, so it will allow your Wii to work. Take a look at some these websites for more information http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/onlineWirelessRouterIncompatible.jsp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Wi-Fi_Connection#Internet_connection Good luck and Happy Computing!
