How do I set up my Comcast Internet with my Mac Powerbook G4 when the modem doesnt use an ethernet cable.?

The modem doesnt use an ethernet cable, so when I plug it into my Mac it thinks it is dial-up and asks me for phone numbers and user names.

is there a usb port on the modem?just configure tcp/ip settings on the mac.give more details pls.
