How to set up a wireless connection on vista?

i have internet already with a verizon modem and i was wondering how i can make my own wireless access point. when i go to set up connection it says "Set up a wireless router or access point. i was wondering if anyone can help me. when i try it says configure the device manually then it sends me to a web page and that page says user name and password but i don't know what password or user name

Hey YoYoYo ? Well I'm assuming that your modem provided by verizon is also a router and gives off wireless connection ? Well I have windows 7, but I still know exactly how to do this because Windows 7 and Vista are extremely similar. Well just go to start, control panel, network and connections, and connect to a wireless network. Make sure DHCP is enabled on the router so you don't have to configure anything. Hope I helped
