Network into a projector?

Is there a way I can connect a computer to a wireless projector and a wireless network simultaneously?

  • I'm currently trying to connect a laptop computer to 2 networks. I'm using the internal wireless card to connect to a wireless network for internet and I'm using a USB wireless N adapter to connect to a wireless projector(optoma TW766W) to make a presentation. What's currently happening is that I successfully connect to both networks, but any time I try to connect to the internet, it sends me to the wireless projector's setup page, which I can manually connect to using an ip address. Is there a way I can configure which network connection it uses to connect to the internet? The computer's running windows 7, and the only network capable of connecting to the internet is the one that isn't connected to the projector. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting and it didn't work, anything I type into the address bar still just turns into the projector setup page once I reconnect to the projector's network.

  • Answer:

Yes, it's possible. You need to set your routing table so that the default route is on the card going to the Internet and the only route on the other one is to the ip address block of the projector. Iknow how to do that in Linux, but in Windows I can't remember, It may need the ipconfig command line tool, or it may be possible under network properties in the GUI for the cards
