I am not sure if the made an innovation that enables a fax machine to have direct connection with internet. I know multi-function devices like all-in-one printers can have LAN, bluetooth and Wifi connections. But some fax machine models (the latest one) can be interfaced with a PC (via USB, serial or parallel connections) and use the PC as the receiving station for the faxes. But if you want a real internet enable fax capability then use an internet fax machine service.

If you have one of those Printer/Scanners/Faxes, you can scan the fax in, save it on the comptuer and email it anywhere. If it's just a regular fax it won't fax it to your comptuer without special software.
