Xbox live connection problem?

  • recently my xbox hasnt been able to connect to xbox live. but i can still go on the internet with my computer and iPod. and whenever i unplug it (the modem from the power), wait a minute, and plug it back in( to the power outlet), it works for like 5 minutes then it starts lagging and then goes off completely. i have put a new cord in to see if thats the problem and it still doesnt work. Any suggestions?

    If your Xbox is on wifi try moving the xbox closer to your router to see if that helps if it doesn't your wifi connect card on the xbox might be going bad.
