How do I get rid of a firewall blocking my Limewire?

How do you remove a firewall to allow limewire to work?

  • I cna't get limewire to work cause it says there is a firewall blocking it but how do you get rid of it?

    Well if you have windows firewall click start>control panel>security center>windows firewall then click the exceptions tab, scroll down and click on limewire, then click ok. If you have anti-virus software, such as Norton, open it up, go to the firewall section and add limewire to the ok list.

you don't remove it you just turn it off until you are done doing what you want ................... go to start up menu click on control panel's then click fire wall and just turn it off that way that's what i had to do

It's not a good idea to remove or diable the firewall. All you need to do is add an exception for Limewire to your firewall software. If you don't know how, this link will get you started: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/cantconnect.shtml
