For example, a line with an advertised raw line speed of 2Mbps would be expected to produce a peak download speed of 230KB/s. A line with an advertised raw speed of 15Mbps would be expected to produce a peak download speed of 1.7MB/s. (Mbps and MB/s are different units and line speeds and download speeds measure different things.)
