How do I set up Windows 03 server as a server? take 2?

• first off, it can't connect to the internet while the rest of the computers on my network can. but further than that, I paid for a domain name through yahoo so i have my own website.com. but i ran out of money and i couldn't pay yahoo to host for me anymore. but the website.com is still mine right? I want my new 03 server to host this. I've tried to set up a domain on my server by using the domain wizard. now when my server boots up, i log in to that said domain. but i'm still confused. i made the domain of my server the same name as the domain I paid for, but nothing is happening. I know my biggest problem is to get internet access to my server, but i'm afraid that even if i do, it won't work the way i want it to. I'm currently downloading a few ebooks on 03 server. I don't know how much help they will be because they might be too complicated for me to understand. I'm no dummy, you can be technical in your answers. I just don't have much experience with servers

  The website is yours, but the domainname is up for grabs now: anyone who pays a registrar can obtain "your" domainname. You're confusing a couple of things: setting up a domain on a Windows2003 server has NOTHING to do with a domainname on the internet. You can have a domain called "pingpong" on your Windows2003 server, and host a website called "bicycles.com" on that very same server. What you will need to do: - setup the internet connection to the server. Check IP-addresses of that server, make sure everything is in working order. - setup a website on that server, using your favorite prog (IIS, Apache, whatever) - pay a registrar (in your case: Yahoo) to re-establish your domain. If you don't, the only way to get access to your website will be via the IP address of your server. - connect the domain to the IP address of your server. - tip: don't forget about security! If you can, NAT the connections from the internet to your webserver, since Windows2003 (even with SP1) is not as safe as it oughtta be!
