Why won't my DS connect to the Wi-Fi?

Why won't my Nintendo DS Lite connect to WiFi with my Belkin Router?

  • I'm trying to play Pokemon Platinum and it's online features but I can't seem to connect with my home network. I have a Belkin Wireless Router. Any help would be appreciated on this matter. I read somewhere it may be my firewall but I have no idea what that is so I would love some help. Thanks to whoever takes the time.

  • Answer:

If it won't connect, then its not the firewall. Check you are using the right WPA key and that you are connecting to the right SSID. Also check the security in the router (WPA2/WPA) is not too high for the DS (and that 802.11b is available for an old DS)

simply check your ds's wifii settings and make sure its set for the right type of conectivity. as for your router (i have the same brand router) make sure your wap key is correct. ists not the number under the router but the password you chose when you configured your router.
