How To Activate Fm 2012 Without Steam?

Why cant I connect to the steam servers to activate Left 4 Dead 2?

  • Okay, so I put in the disk, and it installed Steam on my computer. Then, it went to install the game, and asked me for my product code. I put it in, and the computer tells me "Steam-Working", and then a few minutes later tells me "Steam server is unavailable. Your computer is either currently unable to reach Steam servers, or the service may be temporarily disabled. Please try again later" I've tried many times at many different time periods, deleted the .blob files, restarted my computer, reinstalled steam, checked my firewall, checked my antivirus, changed my server...I just can't get it to work. Please help!

    Same, I brought Brink today and my internet connection is fine, Its really getting on my nerves as i've been trying to download for like 4 hours, been through all of the troubleshooting etc. and even phoned up the support, they said the can only direct me to the support website... :( Aha! I have found a way :) go into program files and go onto steam, delete ClientRegistry.blob also delete Steam.dll and SteamUI.dll After this go onto control panel >> Add/remove program and right click steam and click repair after this boot up steam and all should work :0 Helped me so good luck :)

Its because of your net connection speed disable the firewall when you are doing it Make sure you have good internet speed

i have the same problem but it was last night too and i have tried twice today i even tried changing servers, but i'm trying to install shogun 2 :((

im having the same problem with left 4 dead 2 right now, i tried downloading it last night and it said the same thing. Maybe the servers are down still...

I'm having the exact same problems right now but with dawn of war II. maybe the servers are down, either way its starting to agitate me :/ What Jerry legend just said works, just did it myself :D
