How Do I Fix This Windows 7 Wireless Connection Problem?

How do i fix the internet on windows vista?

  • GREETINGS The internet stop working on vista. I can only connect locally to my router. The only way i can connect to the internet right now is with safemode. I had a nasty virus that I removed with malwarebytes and windows defender along with AVG Free version. I don't know how to fix this problem. i am also unable to do a system restore. I keep getting failure message every time i try to restore.     If you are determining that the Internet is gone using your browser, it is possible that whatever infected your machine changed your setting for proxy--i.e. they enabled it and they set the proxy address to something else so that no matter what you do, you can't get out to the Internet. The proxy setting is in the Internet browser's options setting. There there is a tab for connections, and in that tab there is a LAN settings button, in there you need to UNCHECK the proxy settings. If this isn't the case, then you need to elaborate on how you are determining that the Internet is done. Obviously you can reach your router based on what you said, so network access is OK. The problem is that you can't get beyond your router.
