Why won't my device connect to wifi?

  • This morning I had to reset my entire Android tablet device because it was the only way to get rid of a problem with the YouTube applications. Now I've been sitting here waiting forever for the device to connect to a WiFi network, and it keep saying "obtaining IP address", but it won't connect to the network-not even when I connect the tablet to a desktop computer. I can hardly do anything on this device without connecting to a network. Can anybody tell what I have to do to get the device to connect to the WiFi????

    Change Your Routers settings to WEP 64 bit encryption. Your encryption could be to high, if you reset it it'll prob end up on WPA-PSK which could still be to high so, just use your manual to find out how to log into your routers interface to change it. also try to stay withen 25 feet of your router.

Have you checked security on your Wifi router? Could be locked down too tight. Try clearing router back to default and seeing if the tablet will connect then. If yes, then start implementing security again and work through it bit by bit. Problems like this usually router related rather than device.
