What wireless router should i get for my xbox 360?

My xbox 360 wireless adapter will not pick up the signal from my router. How do I get a signal?

• I know my router is compatible with xbox. It's in my basement and my adapter is upstairs. Is that why I'm not getting a signal? I can pick up a signal on both of my laptops...

  Well you know if you can get a signal on your laptop, then you can just use your laptop as the wireless receiver itself. All you have to do is make sure your laptop is connected to the internet wirelessly. Then you take any standard network cable, (most 360's have them come with the system) and plug it into your laptop and your 360. Then you have to configure your laptop to let devices hooked up to your laptop use your wireless connection. To do this.... 1. Click "Start" 2. Click "Control Panel" 3. Double Click "Network Connections" 4. Click on the "Advanced" tab. 5. Then check the box that says, "Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection." 6.Click "OK" 7.BOOM! You now have internet on your xbox, without all of the hassle!
