How do i get an internet connection for my ps2?

Is it possible to reverse the internet connection through my ethernet plug-in on the back of my PC?

  • I have a wireless internet card set up in one of my PCI slots and am currently not using the ethernet port. My computer is picking up the internet connection via the wireless router built-in to my girlfriend's Mac computer. I also have my PS2 hooked in through my VCR and then through my ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder video card. Ideally, I would like to be able to use my Linksys WGA54G Wireless-G Game Adapter, but for some reason, I can't get it working. If I can get the ethernet port to reverse directions and be able to hardwire my PS2 to the internet through my computer, my problems will be solved. Hopefully some of you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I think i understand what u what to do,if not sorry...so you want to use the wireless connection u recieve from her pc and in return plug your game counsole in your ethernet port to use it online ???rite i hope...well enable internet connection shairing on your wifi card...on the ethernet card you will have to set a ip wich should be different then the one your card is picking up from the mac..you'll have to set dns. and all that fun stuff..mess with the settings and it will work.thats also a similar way that people bootleg broadband.

Ethernet ports are bi-directional -- there is nothing to reverse. However, you may need a crossover Ethernet cable, depending on exactly how things are hooked up, and I can't quite visualize it from your description.

If your target is just to use the Linksys WGA54G Wireless-G Game Adapter which I believe is also a router that can serve wireless connections as well then you will need to configure your network connections properly. You will have to bridge your modem so that the Linksys wireless will be the device that handles the connection both for ethernet and wireless.. You might need to call your ISP provider for assistance on the bridging and configuration of your modem.. Reversing the ethernet port directions wouldnt solve your problem at all since there is a proper way in setting up your small home network :) Just call your ISP and Linksys Tech Support and let them help you out :)
