How can I use an Azure reserved IP?

I can subnet a private IP any method I wish, correct?

I can take 192.168.x.x and subnet 255.0.0.0 if I wanted without any conflicts, correct? As that IP range (192.168.x.x) is reserved for private use, regardless of subnetting?

    You are correct, sir. As a side note, the only way you couldn't do that is if you were using RIP v1 routing. It assumes a natural mask, i.e., it does not understand variable length subnet masks.

No, because the private range of 192.x.x.x is 192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255. Anything outside of that is a publicly routable IP address. I suppose you could do it on your own private network and NAT to the Internet, but it is not recommended to use public IP addresses that are not assigned to you, even in your own network. If you want that large of a network, use 10.0.0.0/8 (255.0.0.0). That is the /8 range for private addresses. The private ranges are: 10.0.0.0/8 172.16.0.0/12 192.168.0.0/16 You can divide them up however you like within their boundaries.

Let me tell you some, I can find you and do not care want IP address you use. There is MAC number. From MAC number I can pin down the ISP, then what firewall, then the machine. There is no way you can hide the MAC number. True, I can not prove who is pushing the keys. We had couple computers stolen and we had MAC numbers of the machines. I went online looking for these MAC numbers, I found who is the ISP and from them we had address of machines. The person who stole the machines sold them to people who had them. We got the machines back and person who stole them went to jail for 1 year. Plus he was fired from working for us.
