How to Connect Linux Mint PC to router through OpenSuse Laptop?

  • I have a PC [Linux Mint freshly installed] and a Laptop [OpenSuse Linux freshly installed]. What I want to do is to connect my PC through my laptop to my router, So I can connect to the Internet through that. I have already managed to connect the laptop to the router using the built-in wireless adapter. I want to use a wired connection from my PC to my laptop. I'm having trouble accessing the Internet through the Laptop from my PC. How would I configure the networks in a) My PC [with Linux Mint] and b) Laptop [with OpenSuse], Step-by-step?

  • Answer:

Your going to have to configure the OpenSuse machine as a router and use the router software to bridge the wireless adapter to the Ethernet port. Really, it would be a lot cleaner if you installed a wireless card in the Mint machine, or used a wireless adapter and connect your computer to that via Ethernet Check out the product below
