Can I connect windows PC to Android phone with WiFi Direct?

I can't connect to my school wifi network on my android phone?

  • I cannot connect to my school's wifi network. There are two of them, a guest one and the main one. For the guest one, it should connect without a password and open the web browser to login, but the browser doesn't open. If i open it myself, it just says no internet connection. When I connect to the main network (i know the username and password), it doesn't connect, it gets stuck on "Obtaining IP address", I know this isn't a network side problem because my friends phones work fine. They have iPhones, and when they connect to the guest network, the web browser pops up, when they connect to the main network, they are prompted to download a certificate which doesn't happen on my phone. The main network has 802.11x EAP security (i think that's right, i'm not sure). Is there anyway to fix this? i would prefer a fix for the main network, because i don't have to type in a username and password each time i connect.

  • Answer:

You might need to set proxy settings. Take a look at the proxy settings next time you use a pc that is connected to their network.
