How do I get a WiFi connection for my iPod Touch?

I have broadband internet connection on my laptop but i would like to connect my ipod touch to get wifi?

  • connecting my ipod touch to my broadband on my laptop to get wifi

  • Answer:

You need a wireless access point (WAP). Essentially it is a box that plugs into your broadband router using an Ethernet cable and has antennas that broadcast the connection. When it is set up you can use the WiFi function on the iPod to connect to WAP which in turn will connect you to your broadband Internet connection. WAP's are also available with a router/firewall function that will allow you to have your WAP and broadband router in one device. The are only slightly more expensive than a WAP-only device. You can find them at Best Buy and many major office supply stores. Here is some more information about WAPs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_access_point Please vote for my solution if it helps.
