How do I connect my macbook pro to a television?

I cannot connect Macbook Pro to ethernet through Netgear WNR2000 router? However it can connect to wifi.?

I have the Netgear WNR2000 router connected by ethernet to my DSL modem and I am attempting to connect my Macbook Pro to the router through an ethernet cable, but it won't work. For some reason the wifi works but that's not the problem, I'm trying use an ethernet connection through the router to the Macbook Pro.

In the router there is a option for MAC address filtering. it that is enable than you have to give a entry of your Ethernet Lan's MAC address into router mac filter...and need to configure your ip address manually. in your macbook...or need to check your router that enable any type of filtering.

you see, macs wont let you do that. Mac relies on wifi mostly.
