How do I get past the sonic wall on work computer?

I cant get my wireless network adapters to work on my computer can someone help me? (more info)?

  • i have two USB wireless network adapters 1. Airnet 108 Wireless SUB pen Adapter Awu108 2. D-link AirPlus G DWL-G120 operating systems using: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service pack 2 I installed first the drivers that came with the CD then i restarted my pc then i connected the adapter and let the found new hardware wizard launch then i let it install automaticly (like the Installation Guide said to) its then supposed to work, i dont get any errors, in the 'Network connections' i should see a wireless network connection icon, but i dont, so i try to use the software it doesnt work, when i double click the icon it doesnt launch. the computer that they work on has the same version of windows (they were both installed off the same windows CD but 2 different CD keys), mostly the same software. but the computer they work on is older about 2 or 3 years older (Emachines T2883 i think) the newer PC is a custom built that i built late in the summer.

If you are trying to get the two adapters to talk to each other you will need to set up the two wireless adapters in adhoc mode with both profiles set to the same SSID (do not enable encryption yet). Then set the tcp/ip properties for each adapter to a different static IP addresses. 192.168.0.1 and .2 for example. Set the subnet mask at 255.255.255.0 and you should then be able to connect over the adapters. Setup shared folders on each system and put both system in the same workgroup and you should be on your way. Once you have everything working you can go ahead and set up the wireless encryption as a security measure.

D-Link software is horrible, you will have to allow XP to configure the wireless set up. You do this by opening up your Internet connections. Right click on the wireless connection go down the properties on the one that opens up. Click the wireless networks tab, put a check mark in the box, allow Windows to manage the connection. Click apply, then OK. That should be it...

You need to setup a network connection before you lunch.

I dont need to know about your updates all i needed to know was computer brand and home edition or pro. I think you need to..... 1. make sure there is no scratchs on the CD 2. don't install it twice with setup wizard. 3. make shure if you right click on my computer and press manage then press device manager and go to USB or human interface devices. 4. if your computer reconizes it then try to update the drivers after you reinstall them.
