What computer career?

What education is needed to get a career in computer networking?

  • Hello! I'm really into tech but from what I've been reading, computer programming is a great career but more and more of those jobs are being sent over seas and there are already a lot of students in the past decade who are going through that. Apparently, the same is not the same with computer network administration/security. For people experienced in this, what type of education would be needed? Like what type of degree/diploma would you recommend, college or university etc. All I know is that lots of hands on work is helpful. Also, I notice how the job titles vary GREATLY. I was looking around and there would be Network Spcialist or Analyst, Server Technician etc. Are they all the same career or slightly different? Also, are computer networking & safety one joint title or are those separate branches as well? Thanks!

  • Answer:

Concentrate of any Computer Science discipline, but, even better is to get certifications (MSNP, CCNA, etc)
