How to Create a file in "my documents" folder?

The My Documents folder redirection in Windows 7?

• I'm having a problem redirecting user's My Documents folder using gpmc (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) for Windows 7 Clients. I choose the Basic settings "Redirect everyone's folder to the same location" and target folder location is set to "cretae a folder for each user under the root path". The Root path is our file server\home directory. When making this the root, the text underneath says "For user Clair, this folder will be redirected to \\FILESERVER\home\Clair\Documents" which is what I want. However, when testing it, instead of creating a folder named "Clair" under the home directory, it instead creates a "My Documents" folder and puts all the user into under the My Documents folder. This is a problem because I then cannot tell whose My Documents folder is whose without looking at the permissions of each one individually. Why did it not create the username instead?

  the computer name has to be spot on , and the link is usually something like file:\\\\\FILESERVER\home\Clair\Document… , it will put you in the default folder for the folder , possibly as it has share folder priviliges
