Wireless internet adapter for Linux?

Linux live cd w/ wireless?

• i need a linux live cd that will allow me to connect to the internet. unfortunately i can only do it with wireless. the problem is that most linux live cd doesn't have the proper driver for my wireless adapter. so i need a linux live cd that has the proper driver or something compatible. my adapter is: ca.asus.com/en/Networks/Wireless_Adapt… it uses a Broadcom 802.11g Soc

  The usual Catch 22 applies here; This card should work with modern Linux Distros...you may have enable Restricted Drivers (in Ubuntu use hardware drivers)...BUT obviously for this you need an internet connection. Asus also provide the Linux drivers http://ca.asus.com/en/Networks/Wireless_Adapters/WL138g_V2/#download ...BUT these need to be compiled and most LiveCDs do not have a build environment to compile the SOLUTIONS Best bet is to create a Live USB rather than a Live CD...this way you can insert the driver, and write to it. Second best option is to use the Windows drivers using NDISWrapper. NDISWrapper is already built into most LiveCDs, you need to use the Winodws drivers that came with your card (or download them from the ASUS website, and configure your LiveLinux to use this driver.
