What do I need to set my laptop as a TV?

Can I stream internet to my TV via laptop/pc?

I have my TV connected to my wireless router via Ethernet cable. I have a home network set up on my PC and laptop to share files between them via wireless router. I can communicate between my TV and PC/laptop using the wireless router i.e I can play a video on PC/Laptop (stored in my shared folder) in any room....which is then streamed onto my TV....set up is PC/Laptop wireless to router, router connected with Ethernet cable to TV. What I want to be able to do is stream the likes of you tube, sky player, BBC iplayer etc to my TV from my PC/laptop. Is this possible and what do I need to do this? I know I can connect my laptop to my TV directly using cables or wireless senders (additional cost) but is what I want to do possible?

If you live in the UK, then you can use a website to watch channels like BBC1, BBC2, Channel 4, Five, and more. you also get some music and film channels. you only need the internet! ill put the website in sources. also you have to make an account for FREE, no credit card needed or anything!
