    Random is right, it all depends..... When I had to connect over a hundred computers together for a small school (this occurred quite a long while ago), I simply used a couple of routers, server and lots of Ethernet cables. I didn't design this, but just followed instructions. Each computer connected directly to the routers and then the routers connected to the server. I then configured each PC with a unique IP address (the address didn't have to be unique). I had very few problems, which was good since I had to serve as Tech support for the whole school and teacher. Good luck Hope this helps

I recently saw a large Linksys router that had a very very large number of ethernet ports on it. From there you could set up a LAN. Just look into it. Im pretty sure it was either Linksys.. or Netgear.

if you meen in a network just make a business network log them all onto through an intenet connection and your connected

We need more details like are you using uplinks to the internet, how many of these, and so on. What equipment are you looking to use? Is this a public network for people to use randomly or is this a business network? What is the purpose of this?

depends on different things such as the topology(bus,star,mesh ect) you wish to use. There are also other things to consider like the medium you wish to use(wired or wireless). The general idea is that you create a network by linking these mediums creating pathways to each node.
