Downlink 3.620-4.200 Ghz byAdaptive broadband Low Noise Amplifier, 3.620-4.200 Ghz, 65kby Adaptive broadband and a network cisco router and Modem Satellite internet services are being provided via the use of satellite communication (128/128 Kbps and 256/1024 Kbps) he w He would like to do the following things 0. upgrade the speed to 2 mega bits per second 1. Provision of one class-C IP subnet addresses 2. Registration of Client.org 3. Provision of primary and secondary DNS 4. 24 hour x 7 support 5. Static and dynamic routing 6. Security options

  • Answer:

He can register client.org through www.youdotoo.com (domain name). He can set up hosting there or direct it to his IP address where he hosts his computer if he uses IIS or APACHE to handle the web traffic. He will need to get provisioning and upgrade of the bandwidth through his satellite provider. I worked at USC (University of Southern California) for 10 years and had a satellite linkup. I've been in the industry since 1980. There are a few ways to do this depending upon what he wants. I would have him make his server Windows 2003 and handle DHCP, DNS. From YOUDOTOO's CONTROL PANEL, he can set up the routing as well to maximize control. Let me know, I can offer some more advice for security. Is he going to do streaming video/audio? If he wants to set up a hosting company, have him go to my reseller site http://reseller.youdotoo.com. Otherwise, with more info, I can tell you and him what is most suitable.

The most popular solution of that type would be provided by HughesNet, formerly Direcway, if you were to subscribe to a Buisiness level account the desired speeds would be met however the equipment would have to be purchased @ approx 1000$ monthly service would cost about 100$ . There would be what is known as FAP which effectively limits the bandwidth usage, for more information on this and other similar services visit this site http://www.dslreports.com/forum/sat this is a discussion forum on Hughes and a valuable source of information. The www site for Hughes is http://www.hughesnet.com/HUGHES/Rooms/DisplayPages/LayoutInitial?pageid=HughesNet_home&Container=com.webridge.entity.Entity%5BOID%5B871FBF90DAB30B4792CDE6AF6D3E6B0E%5D%5D I Highly recommentd visiting and asking questions at the first site so that any decision can be made with foreknowledge.
