Can you tell me step by step how to connect to Xbox 360 live?

How do I connect my xbox360 to "MY" computer to use xbox live?

  • My xbox 360 wireless network adapter just broke so I can't connect to xbox live anymore and at the moment I cannot afford a new one. I would like to know how I can connect my Xbox 360 to my computer (With internet connection) so I can connect to xbox live. Here is what I have and how everything is set up: I have Verizon Fios internet. The Router is connected to my parent's computer on the first floor of the house. My computer is on the second floor and has no wireless connection built in to it so I use a ZyXEL G-220 v2 wirless adapter (Looks like a little usb flash drive) to connect my computer to the internet. I use windows Vista. I have a cable that came from an old router and plugged one end of it into the Xbox 360 and the other into the computer. But I still can't connect the xbox 360. PLEASE can someone tell me what to do (Step by step because in matters such as these I'm kind of a moron) to Connect My xbox 360 to My computer so I can get back on xbox live? Thank you in Advance

Hey I had the same problem when my adapter broke. You can connect your xbox through a router to your computer, networking them both, then with the wireless adapter you can connect to the internet. Hope It Works For You.

Not 100% sure, but I think PC-Xbox connections require a special type of cable (crossover cable) to work. Additionally, enable internet connection sharing (ICS) on the computer. I had heaps of trouble connecting through my laptop, so I ended up getting an xbox wireless adapter. Check the xbox website for more connection information using ICS. Also, @ K-Dog - you're wrong. You can connect Xbox to PC.
