Can you remote control an i-phone from a computer?

Computer isn't finding blutooth devices?

I have a Alienware 750i. And I was trying to get my PS3 remote to work on it. Thing is I know next to nothing about bluetooth. But everytime I go to bluetooth in control panel and try to make it where my computer can find devices a error comes up saying "An error occured while windows was saving your settings. The bluetooth device might be unplugged. The following settings were not saved. Discoverability settings and connection settings." I have been looking for hours and no help. which 97% of them were for 32 bit and I have vista 64. So I tried my Iphone which charges fine on the computer sync to itunes etc. and it does the same thing. It won't come up in add bluetooth devices or anything. Anyone know whats up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
