What's the difference between prim and dijkstra's algorithm?

I need help connecting to the internet with ubuntu 8.10?

• hello i am new to ubuntu and i am trying to connect to the internet. i have ubuntu 8.10 and a linskys wireless router, with a wireless card in my desktop. i can see my network name available but then it wants my key, i type it in then it keeps wanting to authenticate it over and over. im not sure whats goin on. but my key is a wpa preshared key , using a tkip algorithm, if that makes a difference at all, i figured it might, because it keeps taking my 16 character key and converting ver to something else and still no internet, any help is appreciated thnx

  The key that is it is trying to convert is the issue, when you set it up you should have used a password (goofball converts to 1234567890qwertyuio) but if you put in 12345567890qwertyuio it will convert it to zxcvbnmasdfghj so you need to put in the correct password goofball. if this does not work change the way that it logs in(WEP) using goofball as the password (these are examples) you may also be needing to enter in a password, not a passkey or a passkey not a password I hope this helps pj I would add the app. from applications>add remove, type wireless in the search bar (don't hit enter) and download one of the wireless assistants, if one will not work the other may, you will need one that will allow you to use passkey and password(you also need to know witch one you are trying to put in) and make sure that you have the correct passkey/password and that the wireless you are trying to connect o allows you on. Sometimes there is multiple connections with the same name just different passwords/passkeys
