How do I change my Wifi SSID name and add a password?

  • Answer:

Press start and type 'cmd' in the search bar. Press enter than when the command prompt opens type in 'ipconfig' and hit enter. You are looking for the line default gateway and the number to the right hand side... it is usually something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 Once you know what the IP address is go to your web browser and type in that number hit enter and it should prompt you for a user name and password which is normally 'admin' 'admin' or 'admin' 'default' You will need to look through your documentation or google your router model. All the settings should be in there.

It's in the router's configuration. Since you neglected to give any information on it I'll let you read the owner's manual.
