Mini Powerline Ethernet Adapter - Wrong product?

• Hello, I bought this Mini Powerline Ethernet Adapter ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004INVKP4/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details ) and it came today, however I think me and my bad eyes bought the wrong product... I did not realise this was Ethernet and I'm hoping there is some way to still use it for extending a phone from the phone box to a different room? Best Regards, Tim

  It most likely will not work. I suppose there's an outside chance if you're MacGyver, I wouldn't risk it. Send it back to amazon. Instead, get a cordless phone. Most of them come with a base and at least 1 extension phone. The beautiful thing about them is you don't need a phone jack for the extension, just an electrical outlet for the holder/charger. The cordless phone set probably doesn't cost much more than your Ethernet adapter.
