Does anyone know how to make an icon?

Does anyone actually know about macs?

• Don't answer if you don't know... Telling me 'Just configure it' doesn't help!!!! I have a mac (imac osx) on a network that I used to use to access a drive that was also on the network. The router was recently changed and where I had the network drive mapped out previously, it doesn't connect to the network drive any more, presumeably because the network drives IP address has changed. I used to have an icon on the desktop (alias) that brought me straight to it. I have managed to get the PC's on the network to see it by adding a network place but the macs are still stuck without access. Any ideas about how to modify the alias to make it take me to the drive (or rather how to add the drive or alter it's IP address so that the alias will work)? It says 192.168.1.68 is not available... It's not a question of creating another alias, it's a question of getting the mac to see the drive so that I have something for the alias to connect to. Sorry for the repost but someone who doesn't know the answer answered and so I am posting it fresh so that potential saviours don't just look at the Q and see it's been answered and therefore not bother. The drive is visible on PC's, so the drive is configured... How do I get the macs to see it? Can anyone instruct me how? I need to give it the same IP address as it had before or let the mac know what the new IP address is. It's very frustrating to be told to reconfigure it without anyone actually saying go to settings (or where ever) and change this that or the other. If I already knew how to solve the problem I wouldn't be asking it
