Why won't Hotmail load up?

Hotmail won't load on my mums pc and neither will a few other sites, does anyone have any idea why?

  • I have 77 e-mails and cannot check any of them because they won't load on my mums pc, help?

  • Answer:

The initial answer is to try to access the account from a different computer - if that works then you know a setting on the particular machine is screwed up, in that case begin by clearing Internet cache and cookies (hope none of it is important) - additionally you might try an alternate browser like firefox as it will have a clear Internet history cache and cookies (plus its more secure and free - get it from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox)

What Internet browser is it that you are using? If you are signed up to the Hotmail beta you can only open the account in MS Internet Explorer. It could be the resolution of the desktop as I've found that it won't open with a low resolution for some reason. Or it could be a virus of some sort perhaps.

Check out the firewall settings to make sure that it isn't an excluded site. If you're connected via a router then check out the firewall settings on there as well.
