To install Ubuntu Linux 9.10 You first need to burn the .iso file you download from their website to a cd. Once you have done that you have to go into your bios when you turn your computer on and change the boot order to the CD drive first. Then you put the cd in and boot the drive. Then Just follow the steps. Ubuntu will reformat the drive for you so no need to worry about it.

First you have to download the .iso file via torrent (the torrent file is already checked for error and verified). Burn the iso with IsoBurn, MagicISO or similar iso processing software. Option two is to order a Ubuntu CD. Then Insert the CD into you CD/DVD drive. Boot from the CD. Run the installer. When you start the installer, it should ask you where to install and offer partitioning options. That's where you do the formatting.
