Will this Ethernet cable connect from my computer to xbox 360?

How do I connect my wired Xbox 360 to my wireless PC running Windows XP?

  • My setup is: * My PC is connected to my router wirelessly. * My 360 is conneced with an ethernet cable (wired). * My fathers PC (which is running Windows 7) is connected with an ethernet cable aswell (this will become relevant in a minute). Now, my Xbox connects to the net fine. I can download updates, get on the market place, download groovy Fable 2 stuff, etc. I cannot seem to connect to my PC. I click Network Options -> Test PC connection, and it finds my dads computer (named Sconce) fine. I'm assuming that this is because he is running Windows 7. It doesn't seem to notice any other computers in the house (3 others: Mine, my sisters and my mums), which are all connected wirelessly and running Windows XP. When I click "PC Not Listed" it tells me that there is an error with my connection and suggests ways to fix it that don't work. From the computer side of things: When I open WMP I click media sharing and enable it. When it comes up with the "who I would like to share to" window my 360 is not noticed.
