-
I am running Windows 2003 RC2, I have setup an AD and DNS , I Turn on any client(PC) in the morning, open up \\server it simply log my inside the folder, and work ....... Its Fine ..... but when i closes the \\server window and leave my (Client) open for 1 hour or so then after 1 hour when I try to open again \\server folder It gives me a Error of : ""There are Currently No Logon Server ........", or its prompts me with login and a password and when i put up the same login and pasword as i have done in morning its say "Multiple Login are Not allowed with the same user name". It also happens when i try to open any other Client !!! I dont know why is this happening. I want to just open up the \\server and its reamains open until the end of the day. Can you tell me how to avoid this .... its annoying me very badly.

Answer:
What user do you log on as when you turn on your PCs every day? It should be domain users I think. When you set up proper permission for the domain users for the shared resource like \\server, and then when you try to access these shared resources it should not prompt you log on screen. Try to restart the client PC with the problem using domain user. And if the issue was still, probably you need to reset the computer account in your AD users and computers console, and maybe more to rejoin this client PC to domain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Can you try to use another domain user to log on? Is the server set up as a domain controller? You'll want to have a domain controller handling the login security for the domain. Then the file server isn't trying to authenticate every user as credentials are passed to the server.
