Go under: Control Panel > Network on both PC's and make sure that the workgroup names are the same. And on the router, under Wireless, make sure the SSID broadcast is enabled. Depending on the router, you will need to type in the router's address. You will find this in the User's Manual that came with the router. If you don't have that information, you will be able to find it here on this page: http://forums.delphiforums.com/MacWinDOS/start

Ok first thing we need to make sure that is going on, is that all the software is loaded into your PC first, your going to want the wireless router CD installed on you PC, also with any other software concerning you network. Step two. Connect all the cables to your router, first cable CAT5 comes from your cable box, comcast,or att, or ect. your router has a few ports in the back of it. It will be labled INTERNET. Along side that is your power input and a few jacks to directly connect other computers. You will see lights on indicating that it is working, meaning sending out a signal and receiving it. Now to deal with you laptop, does it have a Internet card built in or do you have a card slot? if are card slot install the software first before you put the card in, then your wizard should run everything you need. Go to you Internet options and enable the card to wireless Internet. If your laptop has a built in card then make sure your switch is on, might be on the sides of the computer.

You need a wireless router. It's like a cable splitter but for computers. And wireless so you can use your laptop anywhere in your house. They are about $50-$100 at Future Shop/ Best Buy
