Yes Dude that is possible. Here what you need to do. Just keep on chatting and send th other person a reasonably big file of 3 MB in case of dial up connection or 10 MB in case of broadband. Make sure you win trust so that it becomes easier for you to force them to accept your file. Say its something good you want to share. Before you send the file go to Command prompt (Start/ Run/ CMD/ OK) and in the black screen type "netstat -n" without quotes. It will show you the already established connections. Just keep that window open. Now send the file and type the command again. This time you will see a new IP and rest will be same or missing. That's your target. To make sure after the file transfer is done after 2 minutes type that command again and compare with 3 results that you already have. Isn't that simple. Hope that helps you buddy!

Basically, without actually asking them, you really can't. Your IP address should be kept private and not given out (guard it like you would guard your phone number).
