How do I add a picture to description box of tumblr blog?

I used a tumblr layout html code from a website.How can I add a picture of me to the description box without messing up the code?

Upload the picture to an image hosting website, e.g. http://tinypic.com/ When you have uploaded it to tinypic, it has 4 yellow boxes with text in them, they are; HTML for websites IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards URL for E-Mail & IM Direct Link for Layouts You want the first one and the yellow code will look a little like this; <a href="RANDOMURLHERE" target="_blank"><img src="ANOTHERRANDOMURLHERE" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> You copy that, and then paste it into your description; to do this, it's really simple, just go straight to: customize blog, and then just go to the description, under 'title' and paste it at the very top.
