Computer Question...DoS Attack?
-
I have a router and my log file that says DoS Attack: RST Scan What does this mean. Is this someone I should report to the police.
-
Answer:
DoS attack is denial of service attack, means that someone is repeatedly sending packs in an attempt to crash your connection or server. RST scan is just a method of dos, meaning your router is getting rst packets which made it think its being attacked. As for reporting to the police, don't bother they won't do anything, if it keeps happening talk to your internet service provider
