How do I download attachments?

How can I download Mail Attachments when my LAN Administrator blocked downloading is there any software for ?

  • Actually I am using Internet through Local Cable Net so my net provider blocked downloading whenever he wants and sometimes when I need to download any attachment he blocks it and this thing sucks... I dont have anyother option for internet except using his service... please help me to know how can I download such attachments while downloading is blocked Thanks

    Can you redirect the email from your Lan to a Yahoo account which will allow you to download. Most Lan administrators will not allow you to download based on security reasons. However they do not control YAHOO!!!!!!!!

If your ISP is blocking downloads, you'll have to ask them why. It's entirely possible that they are scanning files for viruses and spyware and blocking for that reason. It is also possible that they are blocking P2P networks to limit their liability for copyright infringement or as mandated by local laws. BTW, I'm a network admin and I can (and do) block downloads coming throuh Yahoo mail. It's child's play.

If people are sending you documents, see if you can have them paste it into the body of the email. If it has to be attached (like an mdb or something), try having them change the extension to something innocuous like .txt or something, he could be only blocking "dangerous" attchmnts. Then you can change the extension back to what you need.
