What does IP adress 0.0.0.0./32 mean? Needed for networking test tomorrow - ASAP?
-
Only this exact number, cause I dont need to know what is the adress without "32" or with any other numbers.
-
Answer:
0.0.0.0 means any network. the number 32 after the "slash" is the subnet mask. Remember 8 network bits make one subnet mask. For example, if a network is mentioned like x.x.x.x/8, it means x.x.x.x/255.0.0.0 Oh... it is really hard to explain the whole concept within this space... (I am sorry if i sound rude!!!) Please read this.. http://www.pantz.org/networking/tcpip/subnetchart.shtml
